University Library
A scale model of the University of Lethbridge's Library/U-Link buildings. This model demonstrates my abilities to create scale models of large and visually interesting architectural art, create and work from measurements and photographs, create true to life 3d models and textures, advanced lighting and rendering techniques, and a sense of scale and perspective. -
Traditional Kitchen
This kitchen model is mainly an experiment into modeling high detailed, realistic 3D scenes, while maintaining a very low polygon count. Although this is a relatively large model that required a large level of detail, I focused on creating the details through my textures rather then modeling each element as I did in earlier works throughout University. -
Living Room
The Living Room was one of my first Architectural 3D models, as well as one of my first experiments into mental ray lighting. I wanted to create a modern day loft style living room with a 'lived in' feel. Of course, a huge HD TV and surround sound system is a must. -
Sci Fi Hallway
This military style hallway set in a science fiction setting is the first model & texture set in a short series that I am creating in order to explore and demonstrate my ability to model and texture for a variety of popular game environments. Sci-fi Concept by Brian Grabinski. Aug. 2008. -
Shipping Warehouse
This urban shipping warehouse was the second model & texture set in a short series of game archetypes I created during University. Aug. 2008 -
The Bay
This harbor/bay scene was created as a tutorial from Realistic Architectural Visualization with 3ds Max and mental ray by Roger Cusson and Jamie Cardoso. The point of this tutorial was to introduce me to many of the more advanced details that an artist encounters when creating an exterior environment. This was also my first introduction to the more advanced features in the MrSky tool in 3ds Max. -
FPS Apparatus
The FPS Apparatus was a commissioned work by the former chair of New Media who requested a model for personal & educational purposes that illustrated what a first person shooter apparatus would look like from a third person view. Working from a rough sketch, I created this detailed model featuring scale models of a Canon XL2 professional Digital Camcorder, and a GSE Combat Sniper Rifle. Aug. 2007
