Standing in the middle of yesterday

So, the Olympics are here.  Figured if I have to work right in the center of a giant party, I may as well attend at least some of it.  Here are some randoms from the last week.

The torch went by work opening day, it was about as exciting as you would think it would be - but somehow worth a picture.

Watched the men win in a shootout at the Alberta house across from the Stadium. Severe lack of mechanical bulls or steak, but great showing / location from Alberta.

Our Lady Peace played the Richmond O|zone on Thursday. 20k+ people, always a good show.

Little bit cold though

Watched the taping of Stephen Colbert - epic. 8k+ people out at science world.

If you're still impressed with what you did yesterday

...you haven't done enough today.

Thursday was our wrap party for The Strike and The Hunt games.  The Hunt isn't out until next year, but we got copies of The Strike.  Pretty impossible to find in Canada right now until they are able to keep up production for the demand in the States which is apparently pretty high... Cool.

Also, my Kitchen kicks ass.

Suspension Bridge

We've been living in Vancouver for ~ a year now, but haven't had much of a chance to do a lot of the tourist-y things around here.  Just a few days left in my 2 week project break so we figured we'd head out to North Van and tackle the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

It's ~230 feet high and ~450 long and very wobbly.  Also, there were squirrels.

View from the 27th

Moved to a new place with Holly a week or two ago.  27th floor of a beautiful new building in Burnaby.  Stainless appliances, granite, fireplace, gas range, gym, sauna, steam room, hot tub ...  so on ... needless to say, very excited and very happy with it.

Still have a little bit of an Ikea wish list before interior pictures are posted, but I figured i'd throw a panorama up here of the view.  Nothing really special going on -- just a regular day.  You'll probably see more if there is a good sunrise or neat storm one day.

From Left to Right if you can spot em' -- Downtown Vancouver, SFU, Burnaby, New West, surrey.

Reckless Abandon

After 5 years of hoping and wishing that Blink would get back together, here's some pictures I took from the Vancouver Reunion Tour show on the 28th. Epic concert.
